Koya Kaido Road, which runs north-south through Kawachinagano City, is a pilgrimage route that people have walked since the Heian period (794-1185), when the great monk Kukai (Kobo Daishi) founded Koyasan, to make pilgrimages to Koyasan. Let's take a walk along the section from Mikkaichicho Station to Kawachinagano Station, where traditional streets still remain.
